Acrylic Course
Block of 3 x 2 hr sessions
£60 per person
Create your own acrylic painting on a 30cm x 40cm stretched and primed canvas over three 2hr sessions.
All materials, aprons and brushes are provided, just walk in and create! A variety of themes will be available or you may choose to bring your own image to work from.
Session 1 will begin with sketching on the primed surface and an appropriate underpainting, practising brushstrokes and mark making.
Session 2 shall develop your understanding of colour theory and colour mixing to adding coolness and warmness to develop your chosen scheme.
Session 3 you may consider acrylic mediums including paste, sand texture gel, impasto and gloss to develop your idea. You shall finish your acrylic painting and take it home in a protective pizza box style cardboard box ready to hang on your wall.
Refreshments including tea and coffee are also included.
If you wish to bring your own image to work through, please try and print it out in a suitable size, ideally A4, and ensure the copy can be sketched on.

Watercolour or dry media such as pencils, charcoal and pastel sessions £15 per person
Choose a media and theme to immerse yourself in for a two hour relaxed session in the centre of Abergavenny, with a friendly and experienced art tutor.
All materials are provided so you can step in and create!
There are a wide variety of themes to choose from such as; still life, landscapes, seascapes, animals and botanicals or bring your own image. These groups are small to ensure you have as much support as you wish and are ideal for beginners and improvers.
Refreshments such as tea and coffee are also included.
